My work is rooted in observations of nature and the interplay of textures in both organic and constructed worlds. I am drawn to the intricate details of natural forms—the veins in rocks, the grain of wood, ripples on water’s surface. Simultaneously, I am captivated by the tactile language of building materials: the roughness of concrete, the grit of steel, and the layered history embedded in rusted metal. These contrasting elements converge in my paintings, where I explore the dialogue between the natural and the man-made. My art resides at the intersection of opposites: the organic and geometric, the familiar and abstract.
I begin each piece by creating digital prints in Photoshop, merging incongruous textures and imagery—cactus leaves, fabric patterns, cobblestones. This process investigates the tension and harmony that arise when disparate elements are combined, resulting in unexpected narratives. These prints form the foundation of my work, which I layer with gelli prints, transfers, vintage paper, and text. The result is a chaotic mix of color and pattern. These elements are not random; they are integral to the narrative each piece conveys, adding depth and subtle variations.
Over this dynamic base, I apply paint and mediums to build surfaces rich in transparent and opaque elements. Using collage techniques and subtractive processes, I obscure and reveal details, encouraging viewers to engage with the layers and discover hidden stories. The interplay of printed imagery, textured materials, and brushstrokes creates a visual dialogue—a fusion of permanence and impermanence, technology and tradition, control and spontaneity.

I pull inspiration from every area of my life to continually push my art to evolve.
Challenge and change is the key to my art practice.
